An Overview of the Actor's Career

Timothy James Curry OBE (born 19 April 1946) is an English actor and singer. Curry was born in Grappenhall, Cheshire, England, and attended Kingswood School, Bath, and the University of Birmingham, where he studied drama and English.

Curry rose to prominence in the late 1970s for his portrayal of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the stage production and film adaptation of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). He has since appeared in numerous films, television shows and stage productions, including The Three Musketeers (1973), Annie (1982), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992), and Charlie's Angels (2000).

In addition to his acting and singing career, Curry has also worked as a voice actor, providing voices for characters in films such as FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992), The Pagemaster (1994), and Anastasia (1997).

Curry has received numerous awards for his work, including a Golden Globe Award and a Tony Award. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2012 for his services to drama.
