Historic Name Change Reflects Organization's Transformation

IRVING, Texas (May 7, 2024) – The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) announced a monumental change in its long-standing history: it will officially rename itself Scouting America in 2025.
This decision, a first in the organization's 114-year history, stems from a desire to better reflect its current mission and embrace an inclusive approach.
